$34,000 taken from woman at gunpoint
A large amount of cash was taken at gunpoint by four men from a 30-year-old woman at a Wedgefield home early Saturday, a report said.
About 3:30 a.m., the woman told deputies four black men wearing all black clothing and face masks forced their way into a home in the 200 block of S.C. 261 asking "where is the money?," the report said. She said her life was threatened if she did not tell them, and she indicated it was in a vacuum cleaner.
In two Crown Royal bags was a total of $34,000 in cash — $20,000 in one bag and $14,000 in another. The woman was forced into a closet, where she waited for several minutes before climbing out a back room window and calling 911 from a neighbor's house.
The door to the home sustained $300 in damage, the report said.
