Man robbed outside Smith's Grocery early Friday

A 49-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint early Friday morning outside Smith's Grocery in Pinewood.

A report said about 7:55 a.m., two black men dressed in black clothing came around the side of the building at 8750 S.C. 261 South and struck the man several times in the back of the head. The man told deputies the two gunmen took an undisclosed amount of money and a .22 caliber pistol valued at $200.
