Alleged robber added to Most Wanted list

An 18-year-old man was added to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office Top 10 Most Wanted list on Thursday after deputies said he was involved in a Wednesday burglary and armed robbery in Wedgefield.

Shermell Quincey Ballard, whose last known address was 255 Tullah Drive, is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall and 140 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He is to be considered armed and dangerous.

Deputies have arrested three other men who reportedly broke into a home just after midnight Wednesday in the 200 block of Kilpatrick Drive, and believe Ballard was involved as well.
