Police: Wife rams husband's car
A 43-year-old Mayesville woman is facing numerous charges after police said she rammed her husband's car Friday night and tried to run over a 32-year-old woman.
Officers also said she had three children in her van at the time.
Nancy Henry, of 202 Willow St., was charged with assault and battery with intent to kill, criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature and malicious injury to property about 11:03 p.m., a report said, after she met her 47-year-old husband, who was driving a 1992 Isuzu Rodeo, at a business in the 600 block of Myrtle Beach Highway. Henry, in a 1997 Dodge Caravan, and her husband were meeting to discuss family issues.
She immediately accelerated into his car's passenger side, where a 32-year-old woman was sitting and rammed it. After the 32-year-old woman crawled out the Rodeo and fled on foot, Henry tried to strike her and failed, then rammed the Rodeo several more times. She apparently obliterated lawn furniture in the process, valued at $500, and then rammed the 32-year-old woman's 2006 Ford Taurus, causing $500 in damage, an amount equal to the Rodeo's damage.
Henry was detained near a home in the 1100 block of East Sherwood Drive and told officers she tried to kill the woman, but not her husband.
