NC man accused of killing 2 women could face death

Court documents show that prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty against a man accused of robbing and killing two North Carolina women in 2007 if he's convicted.
The Fayetteville Observer reported that a prosecutor said Wednesday in Cumberland County Superior Court that 24-year-old Roymari G. Campbell could face the death penalty when he stands trial. The Winston-Salem man is charged with first-degree murder and armed robbery in the shooting deaths of Lori Beaudry and Maria Pena-Duran, a mother of seven.
Prosecutors say Campbell broke into the homes of the women and killed them three days apart in November 2007.
Police say they connected him to the crimes when he used Beaudry's debit card to withdraw cash.
