$2M bond for DeKalb Co officer shooting suspect

Bond has been set at $2 million for a DeKalb County woman accused of shooting and injuring a Guntersville police officer.

Elizabeth Denise Moody of Valley Head remained in the Marshall County Jail Wednesday night in lieu of a $1 million bond for a charge of attempted murder and $1 million bond on a charge of manufacturing methamphetamine.

The 33-year-old is accused in the Monday night shooting of 36-year-old Jason Austin during a chase.

Moody was riding in a pickup truck with two men who were also charged with manufacturing meth. Barrie Lee Vaughn, who is 38, of Henagar, and 53-year-old Royce Eugene Murphy of Valley Head also remained in jail under $1 million bonds each on the drug charges.
