ETV to show debate between all gubernatorial hopefuls
On Nov. 3, one year before the 2010 election, 10 of South Carolina’s gubernatorial hopefuls will meet in a joint debate that will be televised on ETV.
Hosted by the S.C. Natural Resources Society, the five Republicans and five Democrats vying for the state’s top office will discuss issues surrounding the Palmetto State’s natural resources, especially with regard to conservation and economic development. This debate will mark the first time in state history that the primary candidates from both parties will share the stage at the same time.
The debate will be taped at Rocquemore Auditorium on the campus of Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College in Orangeburg from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and will then be broadcast statewide beginning at 8 p.m. It will also be streamed over the Internet from ETV’s Web site, www.scetv.org/candidatespotlight.
An encore presentation of the debate can be seen at 9 p.m. Nov. 5 on “ETV World.”
