Man dies in Pearl River fire

Officials say a 30-year-old man was killed in an early morning fire in the Pearl River area of St. Tammany Parish.

The fire broke out in a mobile home around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The victim was identified as James Hammons.

Investigators say no evidence of accelerants was found by a canine brought in to investigate the fire.

Officials are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
