Playoff pairings set

Crestwood High School will be the only local football team opening their respective state playoffs on the road on Friday. The other five — Manning, Scotts Branch, Wilson Hall, Laurence Manning Academy and Thomas Sumter Academy, will all be at home.
Crestwood goes into the South Carolina High School League 3A state playoffs as the No. 3 seed from Region VI-3A and will travel to Langley to face 8-2 Midland Valley, the No. 2 seed from Region IV. Crestwood used a 49-0 victory over Lakewood to even its record at 5-5.
Manning, 7-3 and the No. 2 team from Region VII-2A, will play host to Mullins, 5-5 and the No. 3 team from Region VIII. Scotts Branch, the defending 1A Division state champion, will open defense of its title against Blackville-Hilda at Spann Stadium in Summerton. The Eagles are 5-5 on the year, while B-H is 6-4.
Wilson Hall, which beat Pinewood Prep 34-7 on Friday to win the SCISA Region II-3A title, will play host to Augusta Christian on Friday.
The Barons are 8-3 on the season and have won five in a row, including a 28-18 victory at Augusta Christian in October. The Lions are 6-4 and were fourth in Region I.
LMA secured second in Region II with a 26-19 overtime victory over Porter-Gaud on Friday. The Swampcats are 7-3 and will play host host to 9-2 Ben Lippen.
TSA will be taking on Hilton Head Prep after winning the SCISA I-2A title on Friday. The Generals are 6-4 on the season while HHP is 4-6 after opening the season with four straight losses.
