Statement about officers was ignorant, ridiculous

I am appalled at M. Jackson's ignorant statement about the police finding another career because they are not drafted and if they don't make enough money find a job. How ridiculous a statement. If everyone thought that way there would be no police officers! It is wrong for any state government to pay police officers a poor salary with the job that they are required to do. I guess you would go out there and face guns, knives, and God knows what for $20,000 a year if you're lucky? It is WRONG no matter what! My Lord, there are other things that the government officials in our city deem more important in paying out money for than the officers who supposedly protect us.

Okay Sumter Police Department, all you officers just quit and let's not have a police department and see how M. Jackson likes that, after all, you all are not drafted and if you don't like your money just move on to a different job. Who cares if we have a police department?! Duh!
