Man arrested after cocaine sale investigation
A 25-year-old man was arrested Friday after a two-month-long investigation involving the sale of cocaine, according to a press release from the Sumter County Sheriff's Office.
Virgil Burroughs, of 30 Pepperidge Court, was charged with trafficking cocaine, trafficking cocaine within a half mile of a school and two counts of distribution of cocaine, the release said.
Burroughs distributed cocaine on three different occasions, the release said, noting that the investigation is ongoing.
Bond information was not available.
