Jordan R. Cauthen, 19, of Curtiswood Drive, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor for allegedly engaging in sexual activity with a 15-year-old female at a location on Shallowford Road.
David A. Butler, 30, of Levi Street, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with first-degree burglary for allegedly taking four TVs and a DVD player valued at about $3,000 from a residence on U.S. 15 South on Dec. 18, 2017. He allegedly broke into the back door of the residence before taking the items, according to a release from Sumter County Sheriff's Office.
Calvin S. Porcher, 27, of Genesis Road, Dalzell, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with two counts of receiving stolen goods after he allegedly possessed and sold two trailers while knowing or having reason to think the items were stolen. A warrant issued by Sumter County Sheriff's Office states Porcher sold a 16-foot-by-8-foot open trailer, valued at $1,300, for $900 on Nov. 1 after advertising the trailer on Facebook. A second warrant alleges he sold a 7-foot-by-18-foot utility trailer, valued at $500, for $800 on Jan. 8.
A Dell laptop valued at $1,500 was reportedly stolen from a 1999 Ford F350 while it was parked on Meadowcroft Drive between 5:30 and 6:30 a.m. on Friday.
A 50-inch Samsung flat-screen TV valued at $400, a 42-inch Samsung flat-screen TV valued at $250, an Xbox One valued at $500 and a pair of women's Nike Huarache shoes valued at $120 were reportedly stolen from a residence on Meadowbrook Road between 5 and 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
A black .45-caliber Springfield firearm valued at $500, 150 duck calls of an unknown brand valued at $3,000 and a child's book bag valued at $20 were reportedly stolen from a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado while it was parked on Kari Drive between midnight and 6:30 a.m. on Friday.
A 32-inch Sony TV valued at $120 and $1,000 in assorted pieces of jewelry were reportedly stolen from an apartment unit on Peach Orchard Road between midnight and 1:15 a.m. Saturday.
