19-year-old Sumter man charged for reportedly unwanted sexual act

A Dalzell man was arrested on Sept. 14 for reportedly being found in possession of stolen goods and prescription drugs. Eric Fitch Porter, 36, of Red Lane Road, faces charges of possession of a controlled substance and RSG after a Sept. 12 warrant indicated he had about $895 worth of stolen items and about 50 pills thought to be Xanax without having the authority to possess them, according to Sumter County Sheriff's Office.

A Sept. 4 warrant from the sheriff's office indicates a 21-year-old Sumter man sent a victim threatening text messages that also claimed he had recently purchased a firearm. Dustin Eugene Scott, of Holloway Street, is also accused of threatening to kill the victim's significant other, her friend and himself if she did not reveal her present location. Scott was arrested on Sept. 11 and faces charges of third-degree domestic violence and unlawful communication.

A 19-year-old man faces a third-degree criminal sexual conduct charge after he reportedly performed a sexual act on a victim without her consent, according to the sheriff's office. Mark Allen Livingston II, of Blanche Road in Sumter, was arrested on Sept. 11.

A Sumter man was arrested on second-degree burglary charges after reportedly entering a victim's residence without consent and leaving with items valued at $650, according to the sheriff's office. Randall Lee Ard, 27, of Silo Road, is accused of entering a home in the 3800 block of Leonard Broad Road in Sumter County. The sheriff's office said he was positively identified by fingerprints he left behind. He was arrested on Sept. 17.

A 34-year-old man was arrested on Sept. 17 for reportedly engaging in a pattern of unreasonable intrusion against a victim, according to sheriff's office. Charlton Edward Fullard, of East Newberry Street in Sumter, has been charged with harassment and is accused of calling the victim, trying to contact her, engaging in surveillance of her house and knocking on doors and windows, which caused mental stress, according to the agency.

A Wedgefield man faces a third-degree assault and battery charge in connection to an Aug. 29 incident, according to the sheriff's office. Terry Lee Epps, 42, of Cane Savannah Road, is accused of striking a victim with his closed fist at a location in the 4100 block of Wedgefield Road in Sumter County, causing a laceration that required five stitches. He was arrested on Sept. 18.
