ORANGEBURG (AP) — Two people have died when their truck hit a tree off Interstate 26 in South Carolina.
Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Matt Southern said the wreck happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Orangeburg County.
Southern said the driver was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected. The passenger was wearing a seat belt.
The Orangeburg County Coroner's Office will release their names once relatives have been notified.
It was not immediately clear why the truck ran off the road.
