2 Sumter attempted murder suspects denied bond

Sumter County Sheriff's Office has charged Donald Ray Richburg, 27, with multiple counts of attempted murder after he was arrested on Friday following a search.

According to a news release, Richburg, of Gold Court, and a co-defendant reportedly fired shots into a dwelling on Holloway Street when four people were inside on June 17.

No injuries were reported, and the incident was reportedly captured on surveillance video.

Richburg is charged with four counts of attempted murder.

His co-defendant, identified by the sheriff's office as Ronnie Smith, was arrested on June 20 and also charged with four counts of attempted murder, according to the release.

Richburg and Smith are both being held at Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center after their bonds were denied.
