Alicia La'Shaune Wright, affectionately known as "Lisa," earned her heavenly wings on Sunday morning, Aug. 5, 2018, at Palmetto Health Tuomey.

She was born on Jan. 19, 1977, in Washington, D.C., to Floryetta Wright and the late Alton Green. Lisa accepted Christ at an early age. She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County, where she excelled academically and graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1995. She was employed as a childcare provider for many years until she was unable to work outside of the home. She then became babysitter and second mother to her younger cousins, whom lovingly called her "Lou-Lou."

In addition to her mother, she will live on in the hearts of her brother, Sedric D. Lowery of Columbia; nieces, Serena and Kiera Lowery of Columbia; six aunts, Gladys Gooden, Ernestine Anderson (Walter), Jean Wright-Davis, Roslyn Wright and Vanessa Wright, all of Wedgefield, and Anita Green of Washington, D.C.; two uncles, Larry Wright of Wedgefield and Earnell Wright (Leola) of Columbia; a special cousin, Janessa Dennis-Butler (Sashay) of Chicago; a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ernest and Louise Wright; and paternal grandmother, Louise Green.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the chapel of Sumter Funeral Service Inc., 623 Manning Ave., Sumter, with Dr. Lewis Walker Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Heaven's Gate Cemetery.

The family is receiving friends at the home of her aunt, Gladys Gooden, 2220 Emil Road, Wedgefield.
