ANN MORRISON JOHNSON BROWN

God saw the need to give his servant, Ann Morrison Johnson Brown of Summerton, rest when he called her from her labor on Friday, April 12, 2019, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Born on Feb. 24, 1952, in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Francis Westbury Morrison and adopted daughter of Blanding and Mary Richburg. She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and was a graduate of Lincoln High School. She was employed by several sewing factories, Willow Glenn, Clarendon Memorial and several nursing homes as a nursing assistant.

Ann attended worship services at Historic Liberty Hill AME Church, Summerton.

The light of this very special lady will shine through her three daughters, Cheryl Johnson McKnight of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Michelle Johnson and Tanikia Johnson, both of Summerton; two sons, Yashayah Ben (Rabakah Baht) Israel of Orlando, Florida, and Michael Johnson of Sumter; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nine sisters-in-law; nine brothers-in-law; four aunts, Ida Ranson, Thelma Chestnut, Dianne Jones and Evon Kemp; two uncles, Billy Johnson and Bubby Johnson; a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 1929 Georgianna Drive, Sumter.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at Historic Liberty Hill AME Church, 8210 Liberty Hill Church Road, Summerton, with the Rev. Robert China Jr., pastor, eulogist.

The remains will be placed in the church at 12:30 p.m. for viewing until time of services.

The funeral procession will leave at 12:30 p.m. from the home.
