Annie Farmer Corbett, 70, widow of the Rev. George O. Corbett, died on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her family and friends.

Born on June 28, 1947, in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late Ervin T. and Marie Jackson Farmer. She was a member of Northside Memorial Baptist Church, the Red Hat Society and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was employed by Sibert's Drug Store for more than 40 years. She was a very loving mother, mimi, sister and friend.

Survivors include two daughters, Georgette Corbett Peters (William "Gary") of Sumter and Angela K. Corbett of Hartsville; two grandchildren, Jackson Taylor Hickey and Abigail Madison Peters; a brother, Paul Farmer (Susan) of Bishopville; and three sisters, Olene Marsh, Ferris Beasley and Marilyn Huntley (Darron), all of Bishopville.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Farmer.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Northside Memorial Baptist Church with the Revs. Neal Sweet, Jimmy Holley, Jim Johnson and Lonnie Watford officiating. Burial will be at Red Hill Baptist Church cemetery near Bishopville.

Pallbearers will be Craig Farmer, Wade Player, Kirk Marsh, Chuck Nunnery, John Bailey and Steve Galloway.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Sonshine Sunday School Class, Tommy Rogers and Perry Kirby.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. today in the fellowship hall of Northside Memorial Baptist Church and other times at the home, 58 Glenwood Drive.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff of SC Oncology Associates, Dr. William Marritt, the chemo nurses and Agape Hospice for all of their care and compassion.
