ANNIE MAE J. YOUNG

Annie Mae James Young, 62, gained her heavenly wings on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at her home.

Born on Jan. 19, 1956, in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Annie Blakely James.

Her memories will be cherished by her daughter, Landunett Young of Sumter; her son, Jason Lang of Sumter; seven sisters, Martha J. Dove, Rosa Mae Marshall, Dorothy James and Fannie Dingle, all of Pinewood, Mary Jacqueline Nance and Lucille James, both of Sumter, and Malvenia James of Columbia; four grandchildren, Landon Ragin, John Ragin Jr., Jhanasia Ragin and Little Ja'son Lang, all of Sumter; a companion, David Hamilton; a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home of her daughter, 946 S. Main St., Sumter.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home Inc., 821 N. Main St., Sumter, with Pastor Terry Dinkins officiating, eulogist.

The procession will leave at 1:30 p.m. from the home.
