SUMMERTON - It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Deacon Ashton "Pop" Bennett, age 66, husband of Elder Vernice "Teen" Brown Bennett, on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018, at his residence.
He was born in Clarendon County, a son of the late Bishop John Arthur and Joeneatha Nelson Bennett and brother of Willie "Wimp" Bennett, Geraldine and Barbara Bennett and Dorothy Bennett White.
All family and friends will be received at the home, 1189 Goslin Pond Road, North Santee community, Summerton.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced at a later date.
