BARBARA JEAN M. JOHNSON

COLUMBIA - On Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018, Barbara Jean Martin Johnson, widow of Clarence Thomas Johnson, heard her master's call at Palmetto Health Richland.

Born on May 15, 1940, in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Major and Colen Martin Johnson.

Service of remembrance will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Elizabeth Baptist Church, 4829 Alex Harvin Highway, Ram Bay community, Manning, where the pastor, the Rev. Terry R. Johnson, will preside. The Rev. James Robinson, pastor of Union Methodist Episcopal Church will bring words of hope. The service of committal will follow at the family plot located in Elizabeth Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family is receiving relatives and friends from 1 to 8 p.m. at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Steppnay Blackwell, 1550 Brogdon Road, Alcolu.
