A district staff member distributed the agenda for the meeting to the media late Wednesday afternoon.
It's not completely clear what personnel matters will be discussed, but the district and school board are not required to fully disclose matters discussed in executive session until the board takes action in open session on them.
The agenda for tonight states school board members will receive legal advice from attorneys relating to potential adversarial claims and discussion of negotiations related to proposed contractual arrangements.
Also, according to the agenda, board members will discuss in executive session "personnel/employment, appointment, compensation, promotion, demotion, discipline or release of an employee."
That same personnel line description was used for the only item discussed in the board's most recent executive session during the trustees' last meeting on Jan. 29. That executive session lasted about two-and-a-half hours, and when the board returned to open session that night, it took no action on the item.
Tonight's agenda also states the board may or may not take action on the two executive session items when it returns to open session.
