The Carolina Backcountry Harvest returns this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the museum, 122 N. Washington St.

Staff and volunteers will be in dress of the late 18th and early 19th centuries demonstrating the lifestyle of Sumter area settlers.

The museum's backcountry is an authentic representation of a homestead of the period, including several original buildings. Admission is free.
