MANNING - Celestine Witherspoon Walker departed this life on Thursday, May 23, 2019.
She was the loving wife of the late Gordon Everett Walker; cherished mother of Carolyn Walker and Carlton Walker; cherished sister of Curlene Davis; grandmother of Melvin Jermaine Hunter, Ashley Walker, Kordell Walker and Zaria Walker; great-grandmother of Meliq Hunter and Taylin Walker; and also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. daily at 1218 Bloomville Road, Manning.
Wake services will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Samuels Funeral Home, 114 N. Church St., Manning.
A celebration of Celestine's life will be held on Friday at Providence Christian Church, 1100 Dozier-Mallett Road, Manning, with the Rev. Dr. Bennie Colclough officiating.
Visitation will begin at 10:15 a.m., service at 11 a.m. and burial will follow at Manning Cemetery, Manning.
