Funeral services for Charity Laquinta Jackson will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Palmer Memorial Chapel, 304 S. Main St., Sumter, with the Rev. Jacqueline Mosely officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park, Sumter.

The public may view from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Jackson will be placed in the chapel at 10 a.m. on Saturday for further viewing until the hour of service.

Charity transitioned on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018, in Columbia.

Born in Sumter County, she was a daughter of John R. Jackson Sr. and Margaret Delois James Jackson. Charity was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and was a graduate of Sumter High School Class of 1991. She was employed by Akebono Brake Manufacturing Co. in Lexington.

Survivors include two daughters, Taylor and Britanni Jackson of Columbia; two sisters, Antwaun (Godfrey) Jackson of Leesburg, Virginia, and Cassandra (Edward) Scott of Florence; one brother, John R. (Etta) Jackson Jr. of Elgin; two nephews, DaeJon Jackson of Sumter and Adam Scott of Florence; two aunts, Geraldine Daise and Dorothy (Roland) Shannon, both of Sumter; and a host of cousins and dear friends.
