CHRISTINE MCGEE

Christine McGee, 50, entered into eternal rest on Friday, Dec. 7, 2018, at Palmetto Health Tuomey, Sumter. Born Sept. 26, 1968, in Newark, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Willie McGee Jr. and Bell McGee. She was educated in the New Jersey public school systems and later relocated to Sumter.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Gen. Lee Cooper; three sons, Darren McGee, Christian and Justin Cooper of the home; two daughters, Tish McGee of Irvington, New Jersey, and Chassity McGee of Andrews; two brothers, Willie McGee Jr. of Sumter and Sherod McGee of Newark, New Jersey; one sister, Charlene Doctor of Eutawville; three aunts, Mary McGee of Newark, New Jersey, and Bernice McGee and Essie Wilson of Andrews; two uncles, James (Mattie) McGee and Kenneth (Nellie) Johnson of Eutawville; nine grandchildren; five brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 435 Loring Place, Sumter.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. from John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home Inc., 821 N. Main St., Sumter, with Elder J. Elbert Williams, officiating, eulogist.

The funeral processional will leave from the home at 12:30 p.m.

Burial will be in Unity Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Eutawville.
