Church Women United, a national movement of Christian women, is hosting the “Let the Children Come National Prayer Call” on Saturday from 1 to 1:30 p.m. as part of its Week of Action Call Congress Campaign.

“We stand in solidarity with religious institutions, women organizations and human rights activists across the country who reject the Administration’s cruel and unjust zero tolerance immigration policies,” said the Rev. Carolyn L. Boyd, CWU National Chair for Social Action, in a news release from CWU. “As women of faith, we are called to seek justice and protect the most vulnerable members of our society.”

The release states: “Our campaign calls for Congress to: immediately reunite the 2300 plus children with their parents, release all refugees seeking asylum, protect the human rights of children and women and prevent criminalization of immigrant men and boys. CWU believes the administration’s policies are unjust, unlawful and immoral. We must act courageously and resolutely to end them.”

CWU invites members and non-members to call 1-319-527-9020 / pass code 819007 on Saturday.
