Library board to meet Nov. 19

The Harvin Clarendon County Library Board will hold its next meeting at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the Clarendon County Administration Building, 411 Sunset Drive. The public is welcome to attend.

Library will be closed for holiday

MANNING - The Harvin Clarendon County Library will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday, Nov. 22-24, and will reopen at 9 a.m. Nov. 26.

Buy tickets now for gun giveaway

MANNING - The Clarendon County Junior Chamber of Commerce's annual gun giveaway fundraiser is underway.

Twenty-three guns including handguns, shotguns and rifles and one gun safe will be given away during December. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the Clarendon County Chamber of Commerce, Gibbons & Company CPA or from any Junior Chamber member.

All the proceeds from the fundraiser will be invested into the Junior Chamber's Clarendon County projects.

Adult Ed registration, orientation is Nov. 26-27

MANNING - The Clarendon County Adult Education program will hold its registration and orientation at F.E. DuBose Center, 3351 Sumter Highway, on Nov. 26 and 27.

Registration will be held at 8:30 a.m. for day-program students and at 5 p.m. for evening-program students. For more information, call Lara at (803) 473-2531.

Support Clarendon County Junior Golf

MANNING - The Clarendon County Junior Golf program is raising money for its youth golf program through donations of $20 for a set of M2 TaylorMade graphic shaft irons, 4-iron through gap wedge.

Manning Christmas Parade set for Nov. 25

MANNING - Manning's Christmas Parade of Lights will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 25.

Don't miss annual Christmas Extravaganza

TURBEVILLE - The combined choirs of the Pine Grove and Shiloh United Methodist churches will hold their annual Christmas Extravaganza at 4 p.m. Dec. 2 in the sanctuary of Shiloh UMC, 8705 Woods Bay Road, Lynchburg.

The guest artist will be Heather Hawkins, pianist for Manning First Baptist Church. She will begin her performance of festive Christmas music at 3:45 p.m.

Turbeville Christmas Parade will be on Dec. 8

TURBEVILLE - Turbeville will hold its annual Christmas parade and tree lighting ceremony from 4 to 7 p.m. on Dec. 8.

Christmas Festival of the Arts is on Dec. 8

MANNING - The Clarendon County Community Development Corp. is planning its Christmas Festival of the Arts on Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. at Weldon Auditorium. Admission is $10 for everyone except participants.

The festival will feature local professional dance groups, individual performances of holiday songs/dances and instrumentalists from Clarendon and Sumter counties and other surrounding areas. In addition, area youth are invited to participate in the Visual Arts Showcase.

Artwork will be displayed throughout the evening, and students will be recognized at the end of the festival. Entry forms are available at all area schools, and the deadline has been extended to Nov. 26.
