She was educated in the public school system of Sumter County. At an early age, she joined Asbury United Methodist Church of Lynchburg. She was employed by Dr. Joseph and Rebecca Holland for many years, until her health failed. Mrs. Goodman was married to the late Allen Goodman.
Public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Job's Mortuary.
Mrs. Goodman will be placed in the church at noon on Friday for viewing until the hour of service.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 S. Salem Ave., Sumter, with Pastor Tawanda Ervin officiating and Pastor Sean Ervin as eulogist. Interment will follow at Goodman Cemetery, Shiloh.
The family will receive friends at 425 Robney Drive, Sumter.
