Colla Voce set to perform at Bishopville Opera House

The Ruth Josey Bell Performing Arts Series will continue with holiday music by Colla Voce at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at the Bishopville Opera House, 109 N. Main St., Bishopville.

Colla Voce, which means "with the voice," is a community chamber choir consisting of professional musicians from the Columbia area.

Colla Voce is directed by Larry Wyatt, director of choral studies at University of South Carolina. In addition to directing the choir, he supervises the master and doctoral programs in choral conducting and the graduate vocal ensemble.

If you don't have Ruth Josey Bell Performing Arts Series season tickets, individual tickets for the performance are available for $15, and all students are admitted free. Purchase tickets at the Bishopville Opera House or by calling the office at (803) 484-6037 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The remaining performances in the series are:

- Jan. 26, 2018, Patrick Davis and His Midnight Choir;

- March 1, University of South Carolina's Jazz Ensemble; and

- April 12, the Palmetto Pans (Steel Percussions) of University of South Carolina.
