Sumter City Council to continue discussion of 2019 budget

Sumter City Council will meet today at 5:30 p.m. today in City Council Chambers, Sumter Opera House, 21 N. Main St., to continue discussion of the 2019 fiscal year budget.
Council will also consider amending its 2018 calendar to change the time of council's regular meeting on the first Tuesday of each month to 1 p.m. Currently, council's regular scheduled meetings are held at 5:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of each month.
The amendment would only apply to the first meeting of the month; council would continue to meet at 5:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month.
