Sumter County Council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in County Council Chambers, Sumter County Administration Building, 13 E. Canal St., to consider second reading of an ordinance to approve a utility easement along a new intersection at North Lafayette Drive and North Main Street.
A public hearing will be held prior to council's vote.
Council will also consider first reading of a request to rezone an approximately 6-acre portion of land at 2020 Loring Mill Road from residential-15 to agricultural conservation.
Sumter County Fiscal, Tax and Property Committee will meet at 5:15 p.m. in County Council Conference Room to receive a presentation regarding a merger between Palmetto Health and Greenville Hospital System, and receive a request for a fee increase from Republic Services, a waste and recycling service based in Bishopville.
