Daisy was born on Sept. 30, 1934, in Sumter, to the late Elliott Tindal and Maude Minter. Daisy met her husband, Philip Darden Jr., and they were blessed with one son, Paul Gerard Darden. They traveled throughout Europe and later returned to America, residing in Pittsburgh for 40 years. Phillip Darden Jr. passed away in 1981. Daisy later met and married James Williams, now deceased. Daisy enjoyed a good life and, after the passing of her last husband, she continued her education by obtaining a master's degree in library science and continued to work in the Pittsburgh public school system. Daisy retired in 1997.
Daisy is survived by one son, Paul (Darlene) Darden; one granddaughter, Toshieka (Harry) Lloyd; one grandson, Paul Darden Jr.; one great-grandson, Jayden Lloyd; two nieces, Daisy M. Tindal-Simpson and Susan Nicks; two nephews, Harold Tindal and Michael Tindal; two first cousins; and a few relatives and several friends.
Daisy was preceded in death by one brother, Cleveland E. Tindal.
Daisy met many friends whom she adored. Daisy was a joy and pleasure to be with.
Celebration of life service will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 5, at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 741 S. Broom St., Wilmington, DE 19805 with visitation one hour prior to service.
