DANIEL E. SEYMOUR

Daniel "Danny" Edwin Seymour, 61, husband of Linda Crosby Seymour, died on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Hospice House of Union County in Monroe, North Carolina.

Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late William Irvin Seymour and Hannah Pauline Brogdon Seymour. Mr. Seymour was a civil engineer graduate of Clemson University and was the owner and operator of Carolina Testing Consultants.

Surviving are his wife of Morven, North Carolina; one sister, Jean S. Rogerson (Burrell) of Sumter; a brother-in-law, Michael Crosby (Amber) of Mount Pleasant; nephews, Burrell "Buddy" Rogerson Jr. and Randolph Crosby; nieces, Jennifer C. Rogerson, Lindsay K. Rogerson and Olivia Crosby; and great-nephews, J. Michael Rogerson and Jackson Rogerson.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Bill Seymour and James Irvin Seymour.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with Dr. William "Rusty" Wilson III officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Carl Sluder, A. Owen Smith, Burrell "Buddy" Rogerson Jr., Randolph Monroe Crosby, Kevin Hurst and Johnny Peden.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home of his sister, 2 Beaufain Drive.
