Darryl Tremaine Stuckey Sr., 43, departed this life on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, in Sumter.

Born on July 1, 1975, in Lee County, he was a son of the late Elouise Stuckey and David Mitchell.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; his mother, Elouise; and sister, Tara Stuckey Ford.

He was educated in the public schools of Lee County, where he played football for Mount Pleasant High School, Elliott. Following high school, he held down many positions with the work force. Darryl attended Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a member. He also fellowshipped with New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, where he volunteered with Harvest Hope Food Bank. Darryl was very outgoing and had a great sense of humor. He loved grilling. He also loved his Green Bay Packers and Boston Celtics, but mostly spending time with his family and friends whom he loved more than life itself.

Cherished and fond memories of his life will be remembered by his children, Daquan Tremaine Moses, Tessica Shaquanda Charles, Ny'Asia L. Stuckey, La'Quisha U. Stuckey, Darryl Tremaine Stuckey Jr., Taesean Holloman, A'Miyah Lyons and Ay'Dien Tremaine Stuckey; his pride and joy, his grandchildren, RayQuan R. Stuckey, Cameron J. Stuckey and D'Mari N. Brunson; siblings, Rashad Stuckey, Lashad Stuckey, David Mitchell Jr., Chantel Bailey and Mechell Mitchell; special niece, Alicia Q. Stuckey; special nephew, Darius J. Ford; Tiffanie Newkirk, a very special friend and love; his aunts, Brenda Percy, Mae Alice McGruder, Lisa Stuckey and Charlesena King; his uncles, James "Frog" Stuckey and Neugene Stuckey; a special uncle, Sam McGruder; his godfather, Charles J. King (Kathleen); a special cousin, Javon Herriott; a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 3870 Delaware Drive, Dalzell.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home Inc., 821 N. Main St., Sumter, with Evangelist Ka'tetcia D. Simmons officiating, eulogist.

The funeral processional will leave at 1:20 p.m. from the home.

Burial will be at the New Jerusalem Churchyard Cemetery, Lynchburg.
