Eddie Joe Bradley, 69, transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, at his home.

Born on June 21, 1949, in Sumter County, he was a son of the late Paul Bradley Sr. and Julia Ann Sinkler Bradley. He received his education from the Sumter County public school system. He was employed at Morris College for years prior to retiring in June 2018. He was a faithful member of Joshua Baptist Church, where he was involved with many ministries of the church.

He leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Joyce Bradley Watts and Marcie (Tyrone) Rysor; two sons, Eddie Dwayne Bradley and Cameron (Kamilah) Bradley; 10 grandchildren; five siblings, Charlie Bradley, Christopher (Catherine) Bradley, Luke Bradley, Jerry (Sarah) Bradley and Dorothy (Marvin) Nelson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 4290 Cotton Acres Road, Sumter.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Joshua Baptist Church, 5200 Live Oak Road, Dalzell, with the Rev. Eugene Dennis, pastor, eulogist.

The remains will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. for viewing.

The funeral procession will leave at 1:20 p.m. from the home.

Burial will be held immediately following services at Joshua Baptist Churchyard Cemetery.

These services have been entrusted to the management and staff of Williams Funeral Home Inc., 821 N. Main St., Sumter.
