He was born on Oct. 24, 1960, in Sumter, a son of Bertha H. Jenkins and the late Edward Jenkins Sr. He was employed with Stuckey's Auto for more than 30 years as a mechanic. Edward served in the United States Navy for 4 years.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving mother, Bertha H. Jenkins; two daughters, Adrienne Cummings and Natashia Jenkins; one son, Edward H. Jenkins III; two brothers, Kenneth R. Jenkins and Dennis Davis; one sister, Angela R. Jenkins of Houston; six grandchildren, Talayiah, Tianah, Aalayah, Amara, Ariana and Rodney; a host of nephews, other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Job's Mortuary.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Job's Mortuary parlor, 312 S. Main St., Sumter, with Brother Dave Rich officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, Columbia.
The family will be receiving friends at 217 Weatherly Road, Sumter.
