ELIZABETH K. BENNETT

The relatives and friends of Elizabeth Kirkland Bennett are invited to attend her funeral service at noon on Saturday at Mount Pisgah Baptist Church, 7355 Camden Highway, Rembert. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Park, Sumter.

Mrs. Bennett will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday until the hour of service.

Mrs. Bennett was born on Nov. 11, 1933, in Rembert, a daughter of the late Rev. James Edward and Caroline Alston Kirkland. She transitioned from labor to reward on May 14, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R.E. Bennett, 12 brothers and two sisters.

Mrs. Bennett leaves to cherish her memories: sons, Dr. Edwin S. Bennett of Orlando, Gregory I. Bennett of Dalzell and the Rev. Wayne A. Bennett (Kathy) of Walterboro; daughters, Jackie B. McGriff of Sugar Hill, Georgia, and Terry E. Bennett of Dalzell; brothers, Henry Kirkland and Thomas Kirkland; sister, Marie K. Jones; sisters-in-law, Vermelle Kirkland, Louise Kirkland, Alta Mae Kirkland and Vivian Dennis; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, Suzette Kennedy, Ulycee Aiken and Fred Harris.
