EMILY H. EVANS
Emily H. Evans, age 92, beloved wife of 64 years to the late Charles Glenn Evans, died on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018, at Brookdale Senior Living.
Born on May 14, 1926, in Denver, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Joyce Mock Howard and Prue Sigmon Howard. Mrs. Evans loved her family dearly and truly enjoyed spending time with them. She was an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Donna E. Flynn and her husband, Bill, of Florence and Nan E. Rowland and her husband, Daniel, of Wedgefield; a son-in-law, Jim Logan of Anderson; one sister, Katie Belle Brown of Florence; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Joyce Evans Logan; one brother, Jimmy Howard; and a sister, Frances H. Foster.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Aldersgate United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Day officiating. Burial will be private.
Pallbearers will be the grandson and great-grandsons.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.
