Born in Washington, Indiana, she was a daughter of the late John M. and Ethel Horney. Ms. Carey was a retired bus driver from the Orlando School System. She was of the Catholic faith.
Surviving are two sons, Roy McClure and his wife, Fumiko, of Sumter and Jimmy McClure and his wife, Donna, of Idaho; one sister, Lucille Reynolds of Orlando; and three grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jackie McClure.
Services will be private.
