Born on July 20, 1925, in Jonesville, she was the daughter of the late Fulton Emmett Moye Sr. and Louise Mitchell Moye. Flora was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. She retired from BD and as manager of Jackie's Uniform. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, and gardening.
She is survived by a son, Ray Ardis of Sumter; a daughter, Carol Houser of Sumter; three grandchildren, Lyn (Scott) Dennis of Beaufort, Lee Houser of Sumter, and Craig Hawkins of Columbia; two great grandchildren, Katelyn Dennis, and Rob Dennis; two brothers, Robert (Jeanette) Moye of Sumter, and Joseph Moye of Summerton; two sisters, Mickey (Ray) Rodgers, and Bootsie (John) Dickerson of Sumter; one sister-in-law, Anne Moye of Sumter, and a host of special nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Emmett Moye Jr., Bill Moye, and Michael Moye.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Dickerson, Kyle Dickerson, Emmett Moye, James Moye, Bobby Moye, Tony Horton, and Sam Horton.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mac Ward, Steve Ward, Johnny Ward, and Mike Ward.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Massey officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery immediately following the service.
The family will receive friends one hour prior the service from 1 to 2 p.m. at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
