Floyd McLeod, 71, widower of Brenda Turner McLeod and Delores "Lois" Haithcock McLeod, passed away on Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, at Palmetto Health Tuomey.

Born on Aug. 16, 1947, in Pinewood, he was a son of the late John and Ida Griffin McLeod. He was a member of New Start Community Church of the Nazarene and retired from Pilgrim's Pride. Floyd enjoyed tractor pulling and served as the chairman for Lakeside Pullers.

Survivors include two children, Jason F. McLeod (Christina) and Erin McLeod Burrows (Clint), both of Sumter; four grandchildren, Gabrielle, Ethan, Rhett and Paige; two brothers, Calvin McLeod (Marie) and Jeff McLeod (Jeanette); and two sisters, Judy McLeod and Jenny Grimsley (Bobby).

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Mitch Towery and the Rev. Donna Green officiating. Burial will be at Pinewood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Derrick McLeod, Casey McLeod, Justin Turner, Derrick Turner, John McKenzie and Brandon McLeod.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jason McLeod, 4255 Muriel St., Sumter.
