BISHOPVILLE - Funeral services for Frank Brigman "Brig" Laney, age 64, who died peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017, at McLeod Hospice House, will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 115 W. Church St., Bishopville. The Rev. Larry Watson will officiate. Burial will follow at Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery, 110 Pinchum Sly Road, Bishopville.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. today at the residence, 1516 Manville-Wisacky Road, Bishopville, SC 29010.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 167, Bishopville, SC 29010.

Born on Sept. 6, 1952, in Sumter, he was a son of the late Nathaniel Jeremiah Laney Jr. and Alethea Brigman Laney. He lived in Bishopville his entire life and graduated from Bishopville High School. After high school, he attended and graduated from The Citadel in 1974 with a degree in political science. After college and for his entire career, he worked for various Case International Harvester dealerships until retiring in 2014. He was a faithful member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Bishopville, where he served in various leadership positions.
Mr. Laney is survived by his wife of 42 years, Miriam Tisdale Laney; sons, Tisdale Brigman Laney (Mary) of Bishopville and Michael Phillip Laney of Sumter; brothers and sisters, Nathaniel Jeremiah Laney III (Katherine) of San Francisco, Linda Laney Grubbs (Phil) of Columbia, Nancy Laney Lindsay (Travis) of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Steven Harris Laney (Robin) of Bishopville; grandchildren, Michael Luke Laney and Savannah Grace Laney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
