Frank joined his late wife of 50 years, who passed away on Sept. 16, 2015, in eternal rest.
They are now surrounded by other loved ones, including their precious daughter, who had passed away before them.
Frank was a second-generation employee of Santee Print where he retired after over 35 years of service. He was a faithful member of New Start Church of the Nazarene and is remembered as being a very generous man willing to help anyone in need. Frank loved to barbecue and was known for his special sauce. He enjoyed watching baseball, especially the Sumter P15's, where he played as a youngster. He will be remembered as a very loving father, brother and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are one son, Frank W. Avins and his wife Malinda of Sumter and one sister, Shirley Avins Geddings of Tennessee.
In addition to his wife, Sylvia, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Christy Avins; a brother, Daniel Leroy Avins and a sister, Toni Avins Rogers.
A graveside service will be held on Monday in the Calvary Church of the Nazarene Cemetery, time to be announced.
