Heading into its second week, city of Sumter's Fourth Friday Concert Series will feature local band Front Porch Junkies, which will perform its original songs for a crowd of familiar faces as the event returns to Main Street this year.

The band, consisting of three members, Vicki Lea Parnell, Jay Parnell and Eddie Rogers, formed in 2011 and performs modern country, old country, top 40 hits and older rock songs.

From 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Friday, music lovers can expect to hear a few covers of Janis Joplin, Johnny Cash, Tom Petty, Maren Morris or Kenny Chesney as well as all of Front Porch Junkies' original songs, including ones recorded on the group's first album, "Howlin in the Wind," which was released in February.

Anyone interested is encouraged to bring a lawn chair and a smile to the free event where food and beverages will be available for purchase.

Finishing off the concert series will be JD and the Breeze on July 27, The Footnotes on Aug. 24 and Jus Tru Blac on Sept. 28.
