GRINDELL COWELL-BAKER

Grindell Cowell-Baker, 62, wife of Ernest Baker, was born on Nov. 16, 1957, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Jessie Mae McCleod Cowell and Saul Benjamin. "Glendell," as she was affectionately known, departed her earthly life on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital, Columbia.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter, Tasha Cowell-Levy (James) of Sumter; a son, A'kba Cowell (Sherri) of Yonkers, New York; two brothers, Micheal Cowell (Rose) of Bridgeport, Connecticut and Alphonso Cowell of Boston, Massachusetts; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Service of remembrance will be held at a later date by the family.
