GWENDOLYN F. JACKSON

Gwendolyn Fortune Jackson, wife of Willie Fortune, was born on Feb. 20, 1957, in Sumter, to the late Toss and Cora Lee Washington Jackson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings.

She departed this life on Sunday, Aug. 26, 2018, in Florence.

She is survived by her husband, Willie Fortune; four children, Theron (Jami) Jackson, Telly (Adrienne) Jackson, Kenneth Jackson and Zi'Asia Jackson-Rose; three brothers, Willie Washington, Levi Jackson and Henry Jackson; two sisters, Evelena Jackson-Lucky and Gwenevere Jackson-Greene; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday at Salem Missionary Baptist Church, 320 W. Fulton St., Sumter, with the Rev. C. William Woods, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Bradford Cemetery.

A public viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the mortuary.

The family is receiving friends at 310 Enter St., Sumter.
