Jackson's double-double carries Lady Barons to win

BISHOPVILLE – Natalie Jackon had a double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds to lead Wilson Hall to a 54-31 varsity girls basketball victory over Robert E. Lee Academy on Wednesday at the REL gymnasium.

Liza Segars added 11 points and six steals for the Lady Barons, who improved to 10-4 on the season. Courtney Clark added 10 points and Susanna Hutson had seven.

Rebecca Dinkins led the Lady Cavaliers with 12 points.

DALZELL – Thomas Sumter Academy lost to Palmetto Christian 58-46 in overtime on Tuesday at Edens Gymnasium.

The Lady Generals, who fell to 7-6 overall and 1-1 in SCISA Region II-2A, were led in scoring by Caetlyn Martin with 16 points. Aubrey Stoddard added 12 and Sydney Daniel had 11.

Maddie Davidson led PC with 26 points.

BISHOPVILLE – Wilson Hall improved to 10-0 with a 44-6 victory over Robert E. Lee on Wednesday at the REL gymnasium.

Gracyn Coker led the Lady Barons with 13 points. Lucy Matthews added eight and Abbie Beatson had seven.

Cheraw 30

CHERAW – Lee Central High School defeated Cheraw 43-30 on Wednesday at the CHS gymnasium.

Jada Rogers led the Lady Stallions with 16 points. Brianna Jenkins had 11 and Latarya Brisbon had eight.

Palmetto Christian 25

DALZELL – Thomas Sumter improved to 4-2 with a 30-25 victory over Palmetto Christian on Tuesday at Edens Gymnaisum.

Karleigh Young had a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds to lead TSA. Clara Burnette and Lindsday Daniel each scored eight points for the Lady Generals and Mo Stevens and Daniel both grabbed eight rebounds.
