James Lee Hill was born on March 16, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York. He entered into eternal rest at McLeod Health Clarendon on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017. He was born to the late Lee Andrew Brackett and Ruthie Brackett and reared by the late James Hill and Margeret Plowden.
He was joined in matrimony to Brenda Adger-Hill on March 11, 2016.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving and devoted wife of the home, Brenda Adger-Hill; six children, Patricia Hill, Margaret Hill, Tracy Taylor, Kevin Parker (Lauryl), Renay (Eckwood) Ellison and James (Quintana) Hill Jr.; two daughters he raised as his own, Tarra Adger and Bre'Ana Adger; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held today from 3 to 7 p.m. at Job's Mortuary.
Mr. Hill will be placed in the church on Saturday at 2 p.m. for viewing until the hour of service.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Mt. Zero Missionary Baptist Church, Manning.
Interment will follow in Adger Memorial Gardens.
Family will be receiving friends at the home, 10015 Scott Ave., Manning, from 3 to 8 p.m.
Job's Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
