JANIE J. SINKLER-SIMS
Janie Jackson Sinkler-Sims was born on Jan. 26, 1950, in Wedgefield, to the late Janie Whittleton Jackson and Joe Jackson.
Janie was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Joe Louis Whittleton and Paul Whittleton; and four sisters, Lizzie Whittleton Williamson, Rosa Lee Jackson-Tillie, Martha Whittleton and Lillian Whittleton-Ballard.
She made her transition from this earthly life to her heavenly home on Monday, Oct. 1, 2018.
Janie leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, LaTossha (Steve) Sinkler-Clea and LaKaisha (Donald) Sinkler-Byrne; her loving and devoted brothers, Silas (Shirley) Whittleton, John H. (Kerline) Jackson and William (Daisy) Whittleton; five sisters, Ruth Ellen Davis, Pauline Harden, Mary Williams, Louise Archie and Virginia Nathanial; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held at noon on Monday at Orangehill AME Church in Wedgefield with the Rev. Gregory Williams, pastor, officiating.
The family is receiving friends at the home of her brother and sister-in-law, William and Daisy Whittleton, 350 Deschamps Road, Sumter.
Services have been entrusted to Whites Mortuary LLC.
